Redwood City-based Omidyar Network, a philanthropic investment firm started bySan Jose-basedd (NASDAQ:EBAY) founder Pierre Omidyar and his wife Pam, has committec a total of $8 million to Sunlightr since 2007. "With this latest grant, whicb includes the potential for futureematching funds, Omidyar Networkk is furthering its commitment to Sunlight's work to use onlinde platforms and technologies to ensure visibilithy into government activity," the two organizationse said. In conjunction with the funding, Omidyar Network partnerd Matt Halprin will jointhe board.
