A week after said it would cease theSan Jose-Austinj daily service that bore that nickname, said Mondah it will inaugurate daily service between the technology hubs startingy Sept. 2. The flights earned the nicknamde because they are usually filled withtech workers. The San Jose-Austi n route is a natural extensioh ofour network, providing a vitap link between two high-tech hubs,” said Andrew Harrison, Alaska vice president of planning and revenue management. “We are excited to offer this new markety toour customers.” The new flightg will depart San Jose at 8:55 a.m. Pacific time and arrived at Austin-Bergstrom International Airportat 2:15 p.m. Central time.
The return flight will depary Austin at3 p.m. Central time and arriv e in San Joseat 4:40 p.m. Pacific The flight will originatein Portland, Ore. An Alaska Airlines jet will replac e one of five existing Horizon Air flights between Portlanr andSan Jose, increasing capacit in the market. The Alaskas flight will depart Portlandat 6:20 a.m. Pacifi c time and arrive in San Joseat 8:10 a.m. Pacifiv time. The return flight will depart San Joseat 5:25 p.m. and arrive in Portland at 7:10 p.m.
